The Exotic Nutrition Squirrel Nest Box Small Pet Hideout will provide your squirrel with a dry, safe and secure place to nest. Squirrels love to nest and burrow in hollowed out areas, which is why this pet hideout fits the bill! It has holes on the floor for drainage and ventilation, ridges on the inside for climbing, an entrance platform for easy access and a protective metal ring on the opening. If using the hideout outdoors, use a wood protection coating (not included). Fill the box with nesting material to make your squirrel feel extra comfortable (nesting material sold separately).

Specifications

This nest box is not water-proof or weather-proof. Durability may eventually be affected by pet urine, feces and other debris. If purchasing for outdoor use, we recommend using DEFY wood stain protectant or a similar product to help protect against water damage, mold and mildew. Our suggestion is to mount the box high on a tree (exterior use) or higher in your pets cage, top corner of the cage (interior use). When used for breeding, mount closer to bottom of cage in case babies come out and need to find their way back.
